Carrie Schirato
Hello, my name is Carrie Schirato. First, and most importantly I am a wife and a mother of 5 amazing kiddos. I am a co-founder of Reclaim611 and serve as Executive Director.
I have always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie and a people lover, so it’s really no surprise that I have been working in the Emergency Department since 2005. I graduated from Baylor University (Sic’em) with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My love for emergency medicine compelled me to complete my Masters and Post-Masters certificate at the University of Texas at Arlington, and have worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Dallas Texas for 10 years.
I have spent the majority of my career missing opportunities to help those who are victims of modern-day slavery. However, now that my eyes have been opened and I have been equipped to recognize, respond and report victims of human trafficking my life has been personally and professionally changed forever.
When you stand up for one life you never know the kind of ripple effect of love that will follow….that is my story!
Co-Founder
Candace Rich
Hi ya’ll! I am Candace Rich, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and
co-founder of Reclaim611. But my favorite title is, Mom. My professional background ranges from Trauma ICU, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Primary Care Pediatrics. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University and a Masters of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington.

When I was introduced to human trafficking and how healthcare and school systems disportionately come in contact with these victims, I looked back at my own experiences and was overwhelmed by how much I had missed the red flags of many potential victims.
I came across a quote that forever changed my perspective on my role in anti-human trafficking, “Trafficking can only exist in an atmosphere of public, professional, and academic indifference.”

As a healthcare professional I felt as if it was my responsibility to know and do more for the victims of human trafficking. Reclaim611 was created to give front-line professionals eyes to see the unseen, ears to hear the truth of victimization, and resources to recognize, respond, report, and RECLAIM the lives of the enslaved.
Because if we are not BOLD, then we are silent.

TAYLOR
Co-Founder
Carrie Taylor
My name is Carrie Taylor, RN, BSN. I am defined by the unfailing grace and love of Jesus Christ and am daily convicted to share His love with others. I am a wife of a man I love and an adoring mom of two beautiful girls. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a
Bachelors of Science in Community Health in 2003. I then graduated from Baylor University School of Nursing in 2005. My nursing career has consisted of Adult Cardiac ICU, Burn ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Congenital Pediatric Cardiac ICU.
It is a true honor to be one of the Co-Founders of Reclaim611. Although I am no longer actively involved with Reclaim611, my heart remains intentionally engaged from abroad. In 2019, the Lord called our family to full time medical missions, where we faithfully served in
Congo and Zambia, Africa. We continued our journey to reach the unreached peoples with the gospel of Jesus and moved to Southeast Asia in 2024.
I became aware of human trafficking and the intersection of victims with healthcare professionals during my ICU career. “Healthcare providers are one of the few professionals who are likely to interact with victims of human trafficking. Multiple studies have found that up to 88% of victims had come into contact with the healthcare system while being trafficked.”
Reclaim611’s mission is to educate healthcare professionals to recognize, respond, report and reclaim victims of human trafficking. We pray your eyes and hearts are opened and ready to engage with Reclaim611 to battle for victim’s freedom in Jesus’ name!
